AirTag FAQs
Does this work like a GPS tracker?
No. AirTag doesn’t use GPS. It shows your dog’s location in Apple's Find My App when the AirTag is detected by other nearby Apple devices.
Will it track my dog in real time?
Not constantly. You’ll see updates when your dog (and the AirTag) is near other Apple devices and you can use nearby finding features when you’re close.
Does it fit any collar?
It fits most standard collars up to 25mm (1-inch) wide. The silicone holder slides onto the collar like a sleeve.
Is it waterproof?
The silicone holder is water-proof, and AirTag is water-resistant. It's fine for rain, splashes, and brief submersion. It’s not meant for deep water or long submersion.
Do I need an iPhone to use it?
Yes. You’ll need an iPhone (or Apple device) to set up AirTag and use the Find My app to locate it.
